NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, has named Maria Weaver to the position of Senior Vice President, Marketing. In this role, Weaver will build upon Spotlight's solid identity and lead the strategic evolution of its brand, reputation and product marketing.

Weaver, who began her career in advertising with Rainbow Ad Sales, a division of Cablevision, joins Comcast Spotlight from Interactive One, the digital division of Radio One, Inc., where she was senior vice president, head of sales and marketing. Previously, Weaver served as a principal at Triple Threat Films, an entertainment and marketing company specializing in financing, content development and marketing. She was also senior director, subscriber marketing and brand development at Home Box Office, where she lead brand marketing, promotions and creative teams. Weaver also worked at Showtime, where she helped build its internal creative services agency.
