Common Themes, Common Business Challenges Discovered at Central Jersey Think Tank

OAKHURST, N.J., Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Identifying new markets and differentiating businesses from the competitive landscape is among the commonalities that were discussed on November 12^th at the Central Jersey Think Tank. A group of 20 Monmouth County Business Owners gathered at the accounting firm, Lawson, Rescinio, Schibell & Co. to share ideas and solutions at this mastermind-style event.

Hosted Sal Schibell, a Certified Public Accountant and founding partner of the Oakhurst, NJ accounting firm is already looking ahead to future monthly morning forums and to helping business owners dig deeper into the challenges that are often found in small businesses. "This format is about assisting businesses in resolving all kinds of business problems they may be encountering," said Schibell, who spent 15 years in public accounting before launching his own firm in 1989. "While none of the issues that were brought up were a surprise, the collective wisdom of the group uncovered some innovative solutions especially when it came to creating unique value propositions – something all of the participants identified as a challenge."

Satisfactory business solutions are the goals of the Central Jersey Think Tank, and since all problems can't be solved in a couple of hours, Schibell encourages, even expects, business owners to return and continue to build relationships with the other attendees. "We want to grow this so that many Monmouth County business owners can participate and learn from each other. We want to remind everyone that other businesses have been where you are. The point is that every business owner has a lesson to share, but there are also lessons he or she can learn from others. The combination of brainstorming with peers will be invaluable for business owners planning ahead for a prosperous 2016 and beyond."
