Community College Week Ranks Keiser University 2nd Nationwide in the Production of Associate Degrees Health Professions and 3rd Nationally in Registered Nursing
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Keiser University has been identified as the 2nd largest producer of two-year degrees for health professionals (up from 3rd last year) in the nation, and 3rd for registered nursing degrees (up from 10th last year). The regionally-accredited, not-for-profit university was also ranked highly in several other degree producing categories by Community College Week.
Since 2003, the national publication Community College Week (www.ccweek.com) has ranked the top 100 degree and certificate producing 2-year institutions. Keiser University, which produces 2-year, 4-year and graduate level degrees, has held high ranking status in the annual survey for several years.

In other national rankings, Community College Week said Keiser is 4th nationally in Homeland Security and Law Enforcement and Firefighting; 5th in Criminal Justice; and 4th in Parks, Recreation, Leisure and Fitness Studies (on the strength of the fitness studies). Keiser awards the 15th most Associate degrees to African Americans, 12th most to Hispanics and 16th most over all.
