Community Shares their Appreciation for Veterans and their Service Dogs via Social Media
America's VetDogs® Treats Honor Injured Veterans and Their Service Dogs
MEDINA, Ohio, May 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- America's VetDogs® Treats is pleased to sponsor Tails for Troops, a social media campaign to be held at Facebook.com/VetDogsProducts. Stories of veterans and their services dogs in action are posted online, and social media community members of America's VetDogs® Products will be given the opportunity to share their reactions, responses and appreciation via video messages. Community-submitted videos will then be voted on by members for the most liked, and the community member with the most liked video will win a prize package including a $1,500 cash prize, a year's supply of America's VetDogs® Treats, and a $1,500 donation in their name to America's VetDogs®.
In addition, family-owned and operated Bil-Jac, maker of America's VetDogs® Treats, will also donate one bag of treats to service dogs currently being trained or those already deployed, for every new "like" of America's VetDogs® Products on Facebook up to 1,500 new "likes."
"America's VetDogs® is excited about what Tails for Troops will do for veterans with disabilities," said Wells B. Jones, CEO, America's VetDogs®. "We're giving an online presence to a cause that is so near and dear to many Americans and thousands of veterans around the world. The opportunity to drive awareness through a video campaign and to have Bil-Jac® further that with treat donations to service dogs is a magnificent way to help veterans and their service companions."
