Comprehensive Listings of 2014 CIAA Week Parties and Events in Charlotte Now Available on TourneyParties.com TourneyParties.com Anticipates 40,000 Online Subscribers Will Use Site to Search for Parties and Events in Charlotte During 2014 CIAA Tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- February 2014 marks the ninth consecutive year the City of Charlotte and Time Warner Cable Arena will host the men's and women's college basketball teams of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). Charlotte-bound college basketball fans can find a comprehensive guide to hundreds of independently sponsored 2014 CIAA parties and events at TourneyParties.com. Organizers expect the five-day tournament will draw over 200,000 fans to the "Queen City," and TourneyParties.com is actively compiling premier local party listings to help those attendees find, share and register for the many events taking place during CIAA week, from February 24 through March 2, 2014.

TourneyParties.com was launched in 2012 by Allure Life Entertainment Group, a North Carolina-based company that created the site to simplify the process of finding information on the wide-ranging parties and events surrounding Charlotte's popular CIAA tournament. "It used to be that you had to know someone attending or hosting a party, or walk the streets in search of venues, which made it difficult to locate and compare events," explained Loren Smith, founder of Allure Life Entertainment Group. "Our company created a single, central source where local and out of town participants could search through all of the party listings, and where promoters could publicize their events and sell advance tickets online. TourneyParties.com debuted in November 2012 and received thousands of visits within the first month – which made it clear the site was providing a much-needed service."

Since the initial launch of TourneyParties.com, further enhancements have been added to the site, including the option to search by type of party, age range, attire and music genre, as well as the ability for local businesses, organizations and independent promoters to post their events on the site. While users are not required to register to view listings, subscribers receive event notifications and can take advantage of discounts and invitations to exclusive parties. More than 20,000 subscribers registered within the first four months of operation; and based on current sign-up rates, Smith notes that TourneyParties.com is on track to have 40,000 subscribers referencing the site for parties and events surrounding this year's CIAA tournament.

In addition to the many college basketball fans heading to Charlotte for the 2014 CIAA basketball tournament, the city will also host numerous musicians, DJs and other celebrities who will be attending and performing at various parties during CIAA week. TourneyParties.com will be hosting multiple celebrity events of its own, following the success of its 2013 parties. "Last year Allure Life Entertainment Group sponsored two events, each of which drew more than 3,000 attendees," remarked Smith. "Trey Songz headlined one of our parties, while the other included performances by Bel Biv Devoe, SWV and Chubb Rock. We haven't yet announced the special guests for our 2014 tournament parties in Charlotte, but our TourneyParties.com subscribers will be the first to hear about them."

Tournament attendees seeking centrally located accommodations can find them on the entertainment guide's affiliated website – TourneyRooms.com – which enables users to reserve sought-after uptown Charlotte hotels for 2014 CIAA week. "Anyone who has ever attended a tournament week in Charlotte knows that hotels in the center of the action can be very hard to come by, as the majority of available rooms are booked a year in advance," said Smith. "Allure Life Entertainment Group partnered with several popular hotels and reserved a number of rooms, which users can book through the website. TourneyRooms.com still has availability at the Ritz-Carlton and Westin in uptown Charlotte, and just a few remaining rooms at the Courtyard Center City and Holiday Inn Airport."
