The Best Places to Work in Illinois list includes small, medium and large companies, for-profit business and not-for-profit organizations. Launched in 2006, the program is promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resource Management Association of Chicago, The Management Association, Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago and the Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce. The program is managed by Best Companies Group.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Illinois. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
