Producers' employees and leadership team welcomed their U.S. Representative with a tour of the distribution facility. Congressman Hultgren met and spoke with over two dozen employees and executives, including Producers' President and CEO, Roger Harris, and discussed the chemical distribution industry's important role in the Chicagoland regional and national economies. He acknowledged Producers' 40 year history of growth, and expressed appreciation for the effective safety measures undertaken by Producers and NACD through Responsible Distribution.
Responsible Distribution is NACD's mandatory environmental, health, safety and security program that has resulted in NACD members being 80% safer than non-NACD members in the entire industry.
"It was an honor to host Congressman Hultgren at our chemical distribution facility today," said Mr. Harris. "We are particularly interested in his work in Congress as a member of Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. I am proud that Mr. Hultgren supports the work of chemical distributors like Producers Chemical Company as a critical component of the nation's economy."
