Coors Light® Brings Rocky Mountain Cold Refreshment To The HBCU Classics Coors Light Kicks-off the Classics with $120,000 in Scholarships and Silver Seat Sweepstakes

CHICAGO, Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Coors Light kicks off another Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Classics season with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Challenge, between Mississippi Valley State and Florida A&M, on September 1 at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Fans 21 and older can enter for a chance to win a VIP experience to one of four select 2013 HBCU Classics through the Coors Light Silver Seat sweepstakes. Consumers also will have the opportunity to win tickets to each of the ten Coors Light-sponsored HBCU Classics. Fans can enter by texting 'HBCU" to 4Cold or visiting CoorsLight.com/kickoff through December 31.

Coors Light has supported the HBCU Classics for nearly three decades and this year will award $120,000 in scholarships, benefitting juniors and seniors 21 years of age and older, attending select HBCUs. To date, Coors Light has contributed $1.2 million through the MillerCoors Scholars program.

Coors Light, through its partnership with 1-800 TAXI-CAB, will provide cab vouchers at all tailgate parties, encouraging legal drinking age guests to plan ahead for a safe ride home. The HBCU Classics schedule is as follows:
