For the month of May 2014, Copa Holdings' system-wide passenger traffic (RPM) increased 12.6% year over year, while capacity increased 8.9%. As a result, system load factor for May 2014 was 77.9%, a 2.6 percentage point increase when compared to May 2013.
International passenger traffic grew 15.0%, while capacity increased 11.1%. This resulted in a load factor of 78.0%, a 2.7 percentage point increase when compared to May 2013. For the month, International capacity represented 98.5% of total capacity.
Domestic traffic, represented wholly by Colombian domestic service, decreased 54.5%, while capacity decreased 51.8%. As a result, domestic load factor for the month decreased 4.1 percentage points to 70.6%. For the month, domestic capacity represented 1.5% of total capacity.
