Corner Bakery Cafe Unveils Seasonal Menu Innovations Garden Gate Scrambler, Signature Sandwiches on Potato Thyme Bread, Fruit-Filled Hand Pies and More Available April 30

DALLAS, April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Using many of the more than 40 fresh fruits and vegetables delivered daily to cafes, Corner Bakery Cafe is debuting new garden-inspired menu items, including the scrambled-to-order Garden Gate Scrambler, beginning April 30.

The Garden Gate Scrambler features all-natural chicken apple sausage, fresh spinach, mushrooms, peppers, cheddar cheese and eggs scrambled to order over an open flame. The new scrambler is served with harvest toast and choice of oven-roasted potatoes or fresh fruit.

For lunch and dinner, guests have a new Trio option with the new Spring Asparagus Soup, which pairs perfectly with the popular D.C. Chicken Salad and Mozzarella Tomato Arugula Salad, among other specialty side salads and homemade soup selections. The Spring Asparagus soup blends the flavor of asparagus in a rich and creamy vegetable broth.

Also new to the menu are two signature sandwiches, both served on freshly baked potato thyme bread with a creamy goat cheese spread. The Roast Beef & Goat Cheese sandwich has roast beef, fresh arugula, tomatoes and balsamic onions. The Roasted Veggie provides guests a vegetarian option with zucchini, artichokes, roasted tomatoes, balsamic onions and fresh arugula.

For a seasonal sweet treat, guests can also enjoy new Fruit-Filled Hand Pies. These flaky, handheld pies are baked fresh with blueberries topped with a lemon glaze or peaches sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.
