ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Corporate Executive Board Company (NYSE: CEB), the leading member-based advisory company, announced today it has begun operating globally as "CEB." The company also unveiled an updated brand identity to better represent its expanded capabilities and address evolving member needs.
The CEB brand is defined by a new mission, messaging, logo and ticker symbol designed to more powerfully convey the depth and breadth of the company's offerings. The mission, 'unlocking the potential of organizations and leaders by advancing the science and practice of management,' also conveys CEB's passion for best practice and rigorous research methodologies that help members tap into breakthrough thinking and create meaningful change in their businesses.
"Senior leaders around the globe increasingly rely on CEB's authoritative insight and actionable solutions to support the critical decisions they make every day," said Tom Monahan, CEB Chairman and CEO. "In response, we have materially expanded our offerings to serve them and are now updating our brand to reflect the full range of our capabilities. While we will continue to diversify our portfolio, our brand will always be defined by the superior outcomes we deliver for our 16,000 senior executive members and the tangible business value they're able to realize for their more than 10,000 organizations worldwide."
CEB's new logo, which includes the name in a fresh, yet classic font coupled with the iconic symbol that CEB members and employees have come to know well, offers a strong sense of continuity for the firm, with its core values represented in the four pillars of the symbol. It also capitalizes on CEB's energy, rapid growth and expanding footprint as evidenced in the new vibrant and globally friendly blue colors. To round out the brand transformation, CEB transferred its NYSE ticker symbol from NYSE: EXBD to NYSE: CEB. The company began actively trading as "CEB" on Aug. 13th.
CEB arrived at its new name and updated brand after extensive research that included members, prospects and employees. CEB's 3000 employees played an especially notable role in the process selecting the company's logo through an enterprise-wide vote in June. The winner was revealed to employees in late July and previewed publicly shortly thereafter during CEB's sponsorship of the WTA's CitiOpen.
The new name and supporting changes went live this morning on the CEB corporate website and are visible at its global headquarters in Rosslyn, Va. and in regional offices around the world. Over the next year, CEB will continue to align its products, services and member resources to streamline and strengthen the CEB brand.
