The Manchester based law firm, the first to establish a practice specialising in cosmetic surgery negligence, report that common illustrations of cosmetic surgery gone wrong following other cosmetic surgery procedures include gross asymmetry, inappropriately placed scarring and nerve damage. Mike Saul, Partner and Head of Cosmetic Negligence Claims for Cosmetic Surgery Solicitors said: "Thousands of people in the UK are turning to the surgeon's knife to perk themselves up with the intention of boosting their self-esteem and confidence.
"However we are encountering a growing number of clients, mostly women, who have experienced cosmetic surgery gone wrong, often at the hands of unscrupulous surgeons who are not adequately qualified. Problems caused by inexperienced or negligent surgeons often leave patients in a highly distressed state. In the worst cases, clients can't even go to work and become housebound.
"Breast augmentation and rhinoplasty are particularly invasive procedures where we are being contacted by clients seeking compensation so that they can pay for corrective treatment."
