Cougar Drilling Solutions Enters North America Directional Drilling Market with Paradigm Sysdrill

AMSTERDAM, Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Paradigm™ (www.pdgm.com) announced today that Cougar Drilling Solutions (CDS) (www.cougards.com) has adopted Sysdrill software as its preferred solution for well planning and drilling engineering, supporting its successful entry into the North American directional drilling services market. The company recently used Sysdrill to successfully plan and engineer its initial directional wells in Texas and Oklahoma.

CDS drilled a 5,000 ft. 8 3/4" curve and horizontal section in only 18 days – 27 days less than a previous well, significantly reducing drilling costs. In another well, CDS drilled a 7 7/8" directional section in a single run, accumulating over 200 circulating hours minimizing non-productive time.
