SAN DIEGO, June 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL -- Devil's Playground Burlesque, presenters of the first and most well-known Star Wars Burlesque Parody show and originators of "Nerdlesque," is proud to take the hip shaking to a an up close and personal level at its first ever Star Girls VIP Experience. On Thursday July 9th and Friday July 10th, Comic-Con attendees can come to the beautiful Sevilla Nightclub in the happening Gaslight district located just one block from the convention to be treated to a live burlesque parody featuring all their favorite characters while taking in the fully stocked bar. Come early and treat yourself to delectable Tapas and Sangria in the Sevilla Cafe before heading downstairs for the Sci Fi tease-o-rama. VIP tickets include two drinks, a cast picture signed by all the performers and a meet and greet photo opportunity with the girls prior to the show.

Courtney Cruz, founder of Devil's Playground Burlesque, made the sexy storm trooper parody an overnight sensation when LA Weekly photographed the original Star Warz Burlesque show in 2010, calling it, "a viral hit." Now known as Star Girls, the cast of 13 top shelf performers titillate every sense with violin solos, jaw-dropping pole acrobatics, nearly nude contortion, ballet dancing, pop locking, and some of the finest bump and grind you have ever seen.

Devil's Playground goes beyond the cardboard of cosplay and the martini bathing of traditional burlesque; it is Warhol—esque, pop-art theater. The performers highlight the kitsch in topical events, pay tribute to influential films, video games and comics, and use parody to reinvent fan favorites via character-driven performances and the art of undressing.
