COZZI's Thought Provoking and Controversial Photographs to be Shown at The LACP October 28th Photo Art Exhibition
COZZI's photography is a reflection into the Mind, Body & Soul of our most intimate human Connection to ourselves, our family and the world we create.
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- A celebration of the mind, body, and soul connection as interpreted by photographer Michaele Cozzi. Inspired by everyday human suffering and life challenges, each photo portrays the many emotions and struggles we encounter as a human race.
The Ladies' Guild, or sex worker series, started in 1990 and continued through mid-1992 is part of The Women in Common work. It began with the philosophy, There but for the Grace of God go I. Having been raised as a privileged white woman with a good education, Cozzi always wondered what she would be like if she had been born in different circumstances. One series is an exhibit of these women deeply reflecting on who they are below the surface. They are beautiful souls, women, friends, sisters, mothers, and daughters trying to survive in their troubled circumstances.
Cozzi's second series is one that she began in 2013 and is still in the making. It is a series on healing and takes us on the journey and transformations that take place in the mind, body, and soul during this time. This series focuses on a woman who during a moment known to be the most amazingly profound changes in an instant when she was severely injured and this incredible moment turned into a bittersweet event.
