SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- C.R. England, a Salt Lake City-based global transportation provider, has been recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a SmartWay® Excellence Award winner.
C.R. England was honored with a SmartWay® Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a true industry leader in freight supply chain environmental performance and energy efficiency.
"We are especially pleased to receive this distinction," said Corey England, Executive Vice President, C.R. England. "Sustainable transportation solutions are something we work very diligently to provide. In the past year, we have seen a four percent improvement in our fleet fuel efficiency. The awards for truck and multimodal carrier Partners were announced at the American Trucking Association's Annual Management Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shipper and logistic company Partners were recognized at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals annual conference held in Atlanta, Georgia.
