Crescent Resources Names Vice President of Residential Investments
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Crescent Resources selected industry veteran Jaime Pou to lead the underwriting and financing of residential real estate projects. As vice president of investments, Pou manages the financial analysis, risk assessment, evaluation and investment support associated with Crescent's residential capital deployment.
"Jaime is a talented real estate professional with a wealth of experience in real estate finance and investment analysis," said Andy Carmody, president of the residential division. In this newly created position, Pou will manage, evaluate and make recommendations for the long-term investment performance of assets for the division. He will also play an important role in guiding Crescent's overall strategy for its residential real estate portfolio.

Prior to joining Crescent, Pou worked in Charlotte as vice president of real estate corporate banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was part of the national relationship management team covering real estate investment trusts and large public and private real estate operating companies and investment funds. He previously served as vice president of investments at Babcock & Brown Residential, an institutionally-backed multifamily investment company with a portfolio of more than 18,000 residential units. He was responsible for investment strategies, identifying and underwriting new acquisitions and corporate and asset level financings.
He was also an associate in real estate investment banking at Banc of America Securities – an investment banking subsidiary of Bank of America before the acquisition of Merrill Lynch.
Pou earned a master's degree in business administration from The Wharton School and a master's degree in international studies from The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Emory University.
