Under the agreement developed by Criticare's Russian distributor, Elmedica, the company will provide nGenuity® patient monitors, along with installation and training, to four hospitals, including three regional hospitals. The hospitals are in the cities of Zavodoukovsk, Yalutorovsk, and the provincial capitol, Tyumen, where many of Russia's oil and gas companies have headquarters.

"We are pleased to partner with Elmedica to provide nGenuity patient monitors to hospitals in Tyumen," said Vinod Ramnani, Chairman and Managing Director, Opto Circuits. "The new contract in Tyumen is one of two recent contracts Criticare has acquired through Elmedica to provide vital monitoring equipment to Russian medical centers. The United States and Germany are the leading suppliers of medical equipment for the growing Russian market, and the hospital modernization program represents significant business opportunities for global medical device manufacturers."

The nGenuity patient monitors are designed for use with both adult and pediatric patients. Their innovative user interface features simplified menus and dedicated function keys for faster setups. The monitors' large, bright displays have large numerals that can be seen easily from across a room. nGenuity monitors can be mounted on walls and on mobile stands for convenience.
