CrossKnowledge Academy Awards 2014

- CrossKnowledge rewards top distance learning projects

CrossKnowledge, one of the world's leading providers of distance learning solutions, presented awards for the best distance training projects of 2013 at the annual CrossKnowledge Academy conference. L'Oréal, BNP Paribas Fortis, Galeries Lafayette Group, Société Générale, Credit Libanais, Rabobank and Skema Business School received their trophies at an event attended by 500 training experts and professionals who came from all over the world to share their experiences and best practices.

For the first time, Crossknowledge presented its 'Academy Awards', paying tribute to the excellence of e-learning projects created and developed by organisations using CrossKnowledge solutions all over the world.

The jury selected the following award-winners:

  • L'Oréal, in the 'Best e-learning roll-out' category

The "Best e-learning roll-out" award spotlights an e-learning project that achieved its goals in terms of HR policy, business, and impact on company profits.

  • Société Générale, in the 'Best initiative in Rapid Learning' category

The "Best initiative in Rapid Learning" award is for a project that focuses on the development of e-learning content, and that achieved its goals in terms of HR policy, business, and impact on company profits.

  • Galeries Lafayette Group, in the 'Best initiative in Social Learning' category

The "Best initiative in Social Learning" award is for a Social Learning programme based on a collaborative approach where learners use social networking tools for sharing, ranking and posting comments.

  • BNP Paribas Fortis in the 'Best initiative in Blended Learning - Corporate' category, and Skema Business School in the 'Best initiative in Blended Learning - Education' category

The "Best initiative in Blended Learning" award is for a Blended Learning programme that uses several deployment methods.

The jury also gave two special awards to:

  • Credit Libanais, in the Best e-learning roll-out category
  • Rabobank, in the Best initiative in Blended Learning category 

Jury members were Katrin Springob, Corporate Learning Manager at Henkel (Germany), Claire Delouis, Development and Training Manager in the International Training department at Clarins (France), Myriam Macharis, HR Director for the Etex group (Belgium) and David Wilson, founder and CEO of Elearnity (UK).

The jury paid particular attention to the following criteria for assessing the projects:

- innovation and creativity in e-learning projects
- measurable benefits for the company and the learner with respect to assigned learning goals
- effective change support
