"Croz," David Crosby's New Studio Album, Enters Billboard Chart At #36 FIRST TIME DAVID CROSBY HAS ENTERED THE BILLBOARD CHARTS AS A SOLO ARTIST SINCE "IF I COULD ONLY REMEMBER MY NAME" -- OVER 43 YEARS AGO

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Legendary singer-songwriter David Crosby released Croz, his first solo album of studio material in 20 years, on January 28, 2014 in the U.S. The album, which features 11 new original songs, entered the U.S. Billboard Charts in five separate categories:

  • Top 200 Chart - #36
  • Top Independent Album Chart - #6
  • Top Folk Album Chart - #2
  • Top Internet Sales Chart - #7
  • Top Digital Album Sales Chart - #72

The album has also had International chart success:

  • United Kingdom - #48
  • JPC Chart (German online retailer) - #1
  • Denmark - #19
  • Italy - #36

In support of the release, Crosby and his touring band are on tour now performing throughout the U.S. Accompanying Crosby on the road are James Raymond (keyboards), Shane Fontayne (guitar), Kevin McCormick (bass), Steve DiStanislao (drums, percussion), and Marcus Eaton (guitar).

"I admit I have been lucky, but this tour is really a high point for me," says David Crosby. "I get to go out and play this record that we have made LIVE: the studio is good but live is even better. I am going to have a blast, and I suspect anyone else who comes to see us will too."  David Crosby has also released three (3) videos on his youtube channel talking about the tour and album release.  https://www.youtube.com/user/thedavidcrosby

Crosby started his tour in late January with multiple sold out nights at City Winery in New York City (1/28, 1/29, 1/31, 2/1). Due to unforeseen circumstances, his sold out shows at The Barns at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA from 2/3 and 2/4 have been rescheduled to 3/16 and 3/25. The two sold out Chicago City Winery shows (2/8-9) have been rescheduled for July 21 and 22.  The west coast leg begins later this month with two nights at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco (2/20-21), and ends with multiple sold out nights at the Troubadour in Los Angeles (2/23, 24, 25, 27, 28).

Crosby is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, inducted with The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash; he is also in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.  In addition to his solo work, Crosby still tours and records with CSN, CSN&Y, and as a duo with Nash.  He has written books— Stand and Be Counted: Making Music, Making History/The Dramatic Story of the Artists and Causes That Changed America, and the autobiographical volumes Long Time Gone and Since Then: How I Survived Everything And Lived To Tell About It.
