CSA Group announces appointment of Nashir Jiwani as Vice President, Canada

TORONTO, April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Ash Sahi, President and CEO, CSA Group , today announced the appointment of Nashir Jiwani , to the position of vice-president, Canada. Mr. Jiwani will be responsible for accelerating the growth of testing and certification services and offerings in Canada, as well as ensuring the provision of global services to all Canadian clients.

"Nashir is an accomplished senior leader with extensive experience in business and manufacturing and with a proven track record of successful implementation of efficiency improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles," said Mr. Sahi. Prior to joining CSA Group, Mr. Jiwani served as Chief Operations Officer, Aliya's Foods Limited headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta where he served as an integral member of the executive management team focused on improving and maintaining an efficient manufacturing organization, P&L, profitable growth and maintaining financial discipline. Other career positions included Vice President, Operations, Hartmann North America of Brantford, Ontario, a manufacturer of molded fibre products; Business Director, Dupont Liquid Packaging Systems, Savli, India; as well as various management positions with Dupont Canada Inc. of Whitby, Ontario.

Mr. Jiwani holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University and an M.B.A. from York University in addition to a Six Sigma green belt and various other successfully completed business and executive management programs.
