NEW YORK, Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CSG Partners, LLC, a leading New York-based boutique investment bank serving the middle-market, announces that R. Dirk Peters has joined the firm to open and manage the firm's new office in Miami.

Prior to joining CSG Partners, Dirk was the founder of OwlRock Capital, LLC a boutique investment bank focused on providing M&A, corporate finance and restructuring advice to owner-operated companies.  Previously, Dirk was a Managing Director at Stephens Inc. where he set-up the firm's Miami-based office and focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and restructurings.  He also worked at Citigroup for fourteen years, primarily in the bank's leveraged capital and corporate finance groups.

Commenting on joining CSG Partners, Dirk stated, "I was very familiar with CSG Partners' reputation in the M&A industry for having the nation's leading ESOP advisory practice. I reached out to the firm about establishing an office in Miami to cover the multitude of owner-operated companies in Florida where I feel the opportunity is tremendous. I have met many companies where a strategic or private equity sale is not the right answer and ESOPs offer an elegant solution that many owners do not adequately explore. In addition to its ESOP practice, CSG Partners is also very skilled at traditional M&A and capital raising services, thereby bringing owners comprehensive solutions for their capital and personal liquidity needs."

Larry Kaplan, the founder and Managing Director of CSG Partners, commented, "Dirk is a talented investment banker with many years of experience working with privately-held middle-market companies.  Given his background and location in South Florida, he will be an invaluable resource for CSG Partners and our middle-market clients as we continue to build out our national presence."

The opening of the Miami office continues CSG Partners' growth nationally. In 2011, the firm closed transactions for companies in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas.
