FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CSRA Inc. (NYSE: CSRA), a leading provider of next-generation IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, today announced it was awarded a re-competed contract to create, apply and distribute complex environmental simulations in support of research initiatives conducted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Research and Development (ORD). The contract is valued at $54 million over the span of seven years.

The Scientific Models, Applications, Visualization, Computational Science and Statistical Support contract represents a re-compete of previous task orders held by the companies that came together to form CSRA. Under this award CSRA will continue providing scientific support resources at multiple ORD locations, which will be leveraged throughout EPA for all types of modeling application and support.
