CTIA Names Rip Gerber The Top Innovator In Mobile

SAN FRANCISCO, May 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The CTIA–The Wireless Association® today announced that Rip Gerber, President and CEO of Locaid, has won the B!G Idea Award.  The announcement was made today at CTIA 2013™ at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.  The award honors Rip Gerber as a mobile champion and visionary who is transforming the mobile ecosystem.

Rip Gerber was noted for his influential role in mobile and cloud computing as the founder of "Location-as-a-Service."  The Ingenious Innovator for Product & Service Innovation award is given annually to an exceptional candidate who exemplifies the ideals of innovation in technology.
