TO: ALL PERSONS OR ENTITIES, OR THEIR ESTATES OR PROPER REPRESENTATIVES, THAT WERE MEMBERS AND/OR SHAREHOLDERS OF THE FLUE-CURED TOBACCO COOPERATIVE STABILIZATION CORPORATION AT ANY TIME FROM ITS INCEPTION THROUGH THE END OF CROP YEAR 2004.
This Notice is to advise Class Members of a class action case filed against the Flue-Cured Tobacco Cooperative Stabilization Corp. (n/k/a United States Tobacco Cooperative, Inc.) (hereafter "Stabilization") based on allegations that Stabilization accumulated hundreds of millions of dollars from a few specific sources over the course of several decades and improperly accounted for and withheld those funds from the Class. Plaintiffs are seeking, among other things, money damages, partial distribution of Plaintiffs' assets held by Stabilization, and a declaratory judgment that Plaintiffs remain members of Stabilization. Stabilization denies all claims.
Class Members' legal rights with respect to this case: Class Members may remain a member of the Class, exclude themselves from this case, or may enter an appearance or intervene through their own attorney. The deadline to request exclusion is October 26, 2017.
