SAP's platform-as-a-service offering enables customers to incorporate new cloud functionality with existing on-premise business applications to help meet business requirements faster.

Owens-Illinois, the world's leading glass packaging manufacturer, with operations across 23 countries, integrated a cloud e-invoicing solution built on SAP HANA Cloud Platform with its on-premise SAP ERP application to comply with requirements of the Peruvian tax authority. Owens-Illinois fully complied within a few weeks, enabling the expansion of its Latin America operations.

This solution helps to clean data and establish a strong foundation for analytics of its fast- changing workforce. This results in immediate and ongoing data auditing, enabling the team to see errors or missing information in real time. The HR team identifies and corrects about 5 percent of all employee records each week as part of their regular use of the system, which has resulted in improved headcount forecasting and more targeted recruiting.
