CyberMaryland 2012 Unveils Conference Highlights
Discounted registration fees offered to make essential event affordable and accessible
BALTIMORE, Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CyberMaryland 2012, the state's premiere convening of cybersecurity business, technology and workforce interests taking place during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, today released conference highlights, scheduled speakers and sessions, and special pricing options. The two-day conference, cyber challenge and inaugural Hall of Fame induction will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center October 16-17.
In announcing the schedule, FBC COO David Powell said, "Cyber is big business and an important industry driving Maryland's economy. It's critical to convene all players in this vast, expanding ecosystem, share common interests and tackle technology, talent and development issues." CyberMaryland 2012 features a unique opportunity to meet the inaugural inductees of the National Cyber Security Hall of Fame; attend three-dozen interactive sessions; tour the technology showcase; and watch the MDC3 finals.
CyberMaryland 2012 kicks off Tuesday morning when President Obama's recently appointed cyber chief Michael Daniel takes the stage with Governor O'Malley to address cybersecurity as the top national security challenge and economic driver. Featuring respected speakers in business (Lockheed CTO Hayden Land); government (Congressman Ruppersberger); and academia (UMBC President Freeman Hrabowski), the conference agenda highlights Maryland's position as the nation's cybersecurity epicenter and provides unparalleled opportunities for learning, networking and business development.
Organizers have created two deeply discounted pricing strategies to increase access to this "one-stop-cyber-shop": attendees who register by September 12 can save up to $200 per person off the regular rate. Alternately, organizations can realize increased participation in the concurrent by sending up to four employees for only $995.
