Dallas-Based American Legend Homes Reports Continued Growth
Home Builder Sees 28 Percent Increase in Closings
DALLAS, Feb. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dallas-based American Legend Homes (ALH) continues to experience growth in a challenging market as the company reported a 28 percent increase in its 2010 home closings. The home builder closed 234 homes in 2010, up from 182 homes in 2009. These additional closings resulted in a 32 percent revenue increase over the prior year. Company officials anticipate further growth in 2011 as ALH expands into several new DFW communities.
The company's current success is attributed to several factors. "We are one of very few builders that offers custom options at every price point," said Chris Bright, ALH CEO. "As a family company, we also focus on personal involvement in the process, providing outstanding customer service, focused warranty follow-up, and an emphasis on quality-built homes. We take pride in what we deliver, how our customers perceive us, and how we operate."
Growth in 2010 included American Legend's expansion into Frisco's Stonewater Crossing and Lantana's Magnolia neighborhoods. ALH also saw increased sales within the highly acclaimed master-planned community of Castle Hills, and had a strong presence in McKinney's The Heights at Westridge, Fort Worth's Ridgeview Farms and Little Elm's Paloma Creek.
In 2011, the company's growth will continue as ALH will offer homes in the master-planned Tribute community (surrounded by 23 miles of shoreline at Lake Lewisville and within the exemplary-rated Little Elm ISD), McKinney's Heatherwood (within the acclaimed Prosper ISD) and Sachse's Heritage Park (with easy access to the George Bush Turnpike).
"We attribute our strong growth to the development of unique, flexible architectural designs and the quality communities in which we have chosen to build," said Kevin Egan, ALH president. "We also take great care in serving our customers: being proactive in our communication, listening to the things that are important to them and effectively managing details," he added.
"We are seeing strong interest across all price points from the $160s to the $600s as ALH offers striking architectural detail, impressive curb appeal and outstanding value. American Legend also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the environment through our award-winning green built and Energy Star-certified homes," said Egan. In addition to single family homes, ALH builds low maintenance garden homes, patio homes and luxury townhomes.
American Legend's sister company, Belclaire Homes, is also growing. Already present and expanding in the Castle Hills community, Belclaire builds luxury custom and semi-custom homes from $600,000 to more than $1 million and will expand into Frisco's Chapel Creek neighborhood in 2011. Both ALH and Belclaire are part of the Bright and Co. family of companies. Bright and Co. has been a part of the Dallas business community for more than 60 years.
American Legend Homes builds new homes throughout the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex including McKinney, Castle Hills west of Plano, Lantana near Flower Mound, Little Elm, Frisco and Fort Worth. The award-winning, energy efficient and green built certified homes are priced from the $130s to $600s. www.AmLegendHomes.com
