David R. Bobbitt Named President of The SCORE Foundation, Vice President of Development of SCORE
WASHINGTON, Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SCORE – www.score.org - mentors to America's small businesses, announced the appointment of David R. Bobbitt as President of The SCORE Foundation and Vice President of Development of SCORE. Mr. Bobbitt, previously the Executive Director of The SCORE Foundation, will be responsible for all revenue and national partnership relationships of SCORE, including leading a team of fundraising and B2B sales professionals in this new role.

Mr. Bobbitt brings more than sixteen years of experience in association executive roles including three years as Vice President, Development and Field Operations at American Kidney Fund and leadership roles at New York Genome Center and University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute. As Director of Strategy & Innovation and Director of Development at University of South Florida Polytechnic he authored the strategic plan resulting in the launch of Florida Polytechnic University. Mr. Bobbitt has also started and owned several small businesses, experience which helps him connect with SCORE clients and volunteers.
David R. Bobbitt received his Bachelor's Degree in the Echols Interdisciplinary Honors Program from the University of Virginia where he was a Jefferson Scholar and Lawn Resident, a Masters of Science in Technology Commercialization with distinction from Northeastern University and is currently working towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia in the Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) program.
