NEW YORK, May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DDB Worldwide Group was named Advertising Network of the Year, in addition to garnering nineteen awards and five certificates at the 55th annual New York Festivals Awards, held in New York May 3, 2012. The Network of the Year Award is given to the agency network that obtains the highest score for entries in all mediums across all competitions.

DDB's election as Advertising Network of the Year was the result of award-worthy efforts from nine countries and included work from both DDB and Tribal DDB. DDB's awards were distributed throughout all international regions and included six Gold Medals, seven Silver Medals, six Bronze medals, and five Finalist Certificates.
The Gold winners were: DDB Colombia, recognized with two Gold medals for "The Code" on behalf of the Military Forces of Columbia; DDB France, for "A New Warrior" on behalf of Greenpeace; DDB Chicago, for "Chaos in Your Town" on behalf of State Farm Insurance; DDB Dubai, for "Organ Donation" on behalf of the Committee of Organ Donation in Lebanon; and DDB Puerto Rico, for "Feed Them Better" on behalf of Subway's Children's Obesity Awareness.
The New York Festivals caps off a week of other notable accolades for DDB at the CLIO Awards and the Webby Awards, where DDB received 28 CLIOs and it was announced that DDB Group will be presented with ten Webbys, making the agency the most awarded agency group at the 16th Annual Webby Awards Festival.
