Deadline for Mississippi Private Non-Profit Organizations to Apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans is June 11
ATLANTA, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration reminds Private Non-Profit Organizations (PNPs) in Mississippi that June 11 is the deadline to submit Economic Injury Disaster Loan applications. These loans are available from the SBA as a result of the damages caused by Hurricane Isaac between Aug. 26 and Sept. 11, 2012.
PNPs located in the following counties that provide non-critical services are eligible to apply:
Adams, Amite, Claiborne, Clarke, Copiah, Covington, Franklin, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Newton, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Smith, Stone, Walthall, Wayne and Wilkinson counties in Mississippi. Examples of eligible non-critical PNP organizations include, but are not limited to food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, libraries, community centers and colleges.
The SBA offers Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help meet working capital needs such as ongoing operating expenses for eligible non-critical PNP organizations. This assistance is available regardless of whether the organization suffered any physical property damage. Loan amounts can be up to $2 million, interest rate of 3 percent and terms up to 30 years. The SBA sets loan amounts and terms based on each applicant's financial condition.

The filing deadline to return economic injury applications is June 11, 2013.
