Dealer.com Reveals Plans for Vermont Growth, Adding 200 New Jobs Before 2012
BURLINGTON, Vt., April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Dealer.com (http://www.Dealer.com), the global leader of online marketing solutions for auto dealers, chose Earth Week to reveal plans for the growth of its digital marketing operation in Vermont. The announcement was made by Mark Bonfigli, Founder and CEO of Dealer.com, at a press conference April 23, 2010 at the company's headquarters, a LEED-certified building that houses an un-matched corporate culture dedicated to the health and wellness of its employees.
The press conference included statements from United States Senator for Vermont, Patrick Leahy; Vermont State Governor, Jim Douglas; Vermont State Lieutenant Governor, Brian Dubie; and Burlington, Vermont Mayor, Bob Kiss.
"From the beginning, we set out to create a unique, fun and enterprising culture in order to develop and attract the best and brightest talent in the industry. Our innovative environment with its 'green' culture, employee wellness programs, training & career initiatives and great benefits have made Dealer.com a driving economic force in Vermont," said Bonfigli.
Headquartered in Burlington, VT, Dealer.com utilizes a 63,000-square-foot revitalized building certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™. Employees enjoy an on-site organic cafe, a sports complex that features an indoor tennis and basketball court, full gym with cardio and strength training equipment, and even state-of-the-art ping-pong tables.
Winner of several worksite wellness programs, as well as creative awards for premiere Website design, the Dealer.com culture is one that emphasizes responsibility for the well-being of its employees and the health of the environment.
Growth plans include the physical expansion of 47,360 sq. ft., taking over the former packaging and distribution facility of the Lake Champlain Chocolates factory, also a LEED-certified building. (Lake Champlain Chocolates will retain its current factory and retail location at 750 Pine Street.) 200 new hires are projected before the end of 2011. Pending all local and state permits and related economic incentives, Dealer.com's new digs will be cemented by January 2011. Dealer.com's total anticipated investment: $9 million.
Dealer.com, which already employs more than 300 Vermonters, provides six-week new hiring training, a proven mentoring program, and is a business clearly dedicated to the triple bottom line - people, planet, and profits.
