Debra Hanses Novakoski named 2017 BusinessWoman of the Year
TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Debra Hanses Novakoski, President and CEO of HomeBanc was named this year's BusinessWoman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal at the Awards Gala held on August 11, 2017 at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Hotel. The event consisted of nearly 500 attendees including the 52 finalists. The TBBJ Awards Gala is a celebration to recognize the accomplishments of successful women in business in the Bay area.
Ms. Novakoski along with each of the finalists were first presented with a plaque to honor their achievements. A winner was selected from twelve business categories; Novakoski was recognized as the winner of the Financial Services category from six nominees. She was later announced the overall winner of BusinessWoman of the Year receiving a personalized Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey, necklace with pendant and crystal trophy. She becomes the 14th overall winner in the history of this event.
