MIAMI, Oct. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- There's no shortage of expert advice for getting out of debt. Now there's a sweepstakes contest that will help pay off those debts.
Financial solutions website Debt.com has joined forces with PowerWallet to promote the $2,500 Get out of Debt Sweepstakes that features a unique loyalty program that rewards users for good financial planning behavior.
For people new to PowerWallet, an online personal finance management website, signing up for a free account nets 10 sweepstakes entries and using PowerWallet daily rings up another 10. Creating a budget that helps people save money is worth a whopping 100 entries and 50 entries are gained for each linked account.
Those who use their PowerWallet accounts and follow Debt.com's money-saving advice will discover that even if they don't win the sweepstakes, they still hit the jackpot – their debt will drop like a rock while taking advantage of what the websites have to offer.
"With $890 billion in credit card debt in this country, we wanted to do something to get people's attention," says Howard Dvorkin, Chairman of Debt.com. "We also want to help people take a big step on their path to financial freedom, and $2,500 is a great way to pay down debts and get some wind at your back."
The sweepstakes contest ends December 22, and a winner will be announced December 29. Consumers who don't win can enter the next sweepstakes starting January 4, 2016.
