- Denmark's rate of unemployment remains high compared to Norway's 3.9 percent unemployment rate. However it is still lower than Finland and Sweden's rate of 7.9 percent.
- Although inflation in Denmark has remained low in 2013 and 2014, current expectations are for these rates to progressively improve in the next two to three years. Inflation is expected to reach about 2.1 percent by the end of 2015.

The Healthcare System:
- In 2014, Denmark's healthcare expenditures represented about 11.11 percent of the GDP.
- This is the highest healthcare spending rate in Scandinavia (e.g. Norwegian expenditures are 9.8 percent, Swedish expenditures are at 9.6 percent and Finnish expenditures are at 9.1 percent of the GDP).
- Currently about, 85.9 percent of the total health expenditures stem from public sources like the national government, counties and municipalities (i.e. taxes).

In 2013, the Danish government announced plans to restructure the national health system.
