NEW YORK, April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Deluxe, a leading provider of entertainment industry services and technologies, today announced it has been selected as part of the new Netflix Preferred Vendor (NPV) Program for a range of digital supply chain services.
The Netflix Preferred Vendor Program was launched recently to help Netflix's content partners identify and utilize digital supply chain vendors that integrate seamlessly with Netflix and meet the rigorous standards required for high quality content conversion. To be a part of the program, companies go through a comprehensive and thorough vetting process and must demonstrate extensive capabilities in the areas of file storage, video restoration, file transcoding/encoding, subtitling/closed captioning, quality control, file transportation, standards conversion/file manipulation, and scalable workflow management.
"We're looking for the top providers in the Digital Supply Chain to streamline workflows and help us accelerate the streaming VOD transformation," said Chris Fetner, director of content partner operations at Netflix. "Netflix seeks to digitize content quickly, while still maintaining the highest quality possible. Matching content providers with the best service providers accomplishes that."
"We're honored and thrilled to continue to work closely with Netflix and their content partners. We have always applied the most exacting standards of quality and believe our inclusion in the NPV program validates our approach," said Pi Waller, VP & GM of Media Services, Deluxe.
Operating out of 27 worldwide locations, Deluxe processes over 40,000 digital distribution files per month. To support this level of capacity, Deluxe has built a state-of-the-art asset and workflow management system, DL3, that provides unprecedented levels of asset organization and archiving, workflow management, and product creation and fulfillment capabilities.
