Denton Calvary Academy Awarded Henderson Cup
Denton, Texas School recognized for exemplary performance in academics, fine arts and athletics.
DENTON, Texas, June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Denton Calvary Academy has been presented the Henderson Cup Award from the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). The TAPPS Henderson Cup Award recognizes exemplary school performance in academics, fine arts and athletics. Over 50 2A Texas private schools are considered each year for the award. Ms. Stacey Baxter, Principal of Denton Calvary Academy, commented on the award, "We are honored to receive this recognition. In the last school year, Denton Calvary Academy students competed at the state level in a number of areas including Cheer, Drama 1 Act Play, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Baseball and Track & Field. Nathan Miller, Fine Arts Director at Denton Calvary Academy commented, "The creativity of our students and arts teachers is tremendous. Denton Calvary Academy was founded in 1999. DCA teaches a University-Model curriculum which combines elements of both home school and private Christian education. The school's enrollment has grown steadily and is at over 300 students for the 2015-2016 school year.
