Detroit Media Partnership Announces Two Key Promotions
DETROIT, Nov. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Joyce Jenereaux, president of Detroit Media Partnership, today announced two key promotions in the company's Finance division:
Mark J. Brown, the company's controller since 2005, has been named vice president/finance of the company. In addition to overseeing the company's financial operations, he will assume responsibility for the Information Technology division.
Tracey M. Medley, assistant controller since 2006, has been named controller.
Brown joined DMP in 1992 as a financial analyst, and later served as financial reporting manager and finance director. He holds a bachelors degree and MBA from University of Michigan, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Before coming to DMP, he held finance positions at EDS and Vlasic Foods. He lives in Plymouth and has two children, Adam, 20, and Aaron, 17.
"Mark has played a critical role in the transformation of this company, spearheading many of the consolidations and system implementations. He's been a great business partner to the other divisions of our company, helping them work through many operational and strategic issues," Jenereaux said. "He's done all of this while maintaining our financial accounting records with the highest standards of accuracy and integrity."
Medley joined DMP in 1990, and has held management positions in Circulation Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Advertising Accounting. Before joining DMP, she held positions at USA TODAY and the Port Huron Times Herald. She holds a bachelor's degree from Walsh College. She lives in Chesterfield Township with her husband, Chuck, and children Chad, 16, Hannah, 12, and Jack, 12.
