Detroit PAL announces campaign kick-off at 6th annual MVP Awards Dinner

Who: Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL), a youth development nonprofit that annually serves over 12,000 boys and girls in the community
What: Detroit PAL launches "Kids at The Corner" fundraising campaign at 6th annual MVP Awards Dinner:
- $15.5 million fundraising goal set to redevelop site of the old Tiger Stadium at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull into new athletic field and PAL headquarters, expanding programming for up to a total of 15,000 boys and girls
- United States Senator Carl Levin (Detroit PAL campaign co-chair) secured initial $3 million federal grant to Detroit PAL
- Campaign kicks off at Detroit PAL's annual MVP awards dinner. Honorees include: The Skillman Foundation, Rod Alberts and the Detroit Automotive Dealers Association, and Detroit Lions offensive lineman Rob Sims and wife Natalie
