DeVito/Verdi Takes Home a Healthy Number of Awards and "Best of Show" at the 28th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards Event
Ad Agency Wins Five Gold, Two Silver And Five Merit Awards For Three Of Its Healthcare Clients
NEW YORK, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DeVito/Verdi, the New York advertising agency, continued to garner creative recognition for its healthcare advertising, as it took home 12 awards at the 28th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards show this week, including "Best of Show" for a hospital radio campaign.
DeVito/Verdi won a total of 12 awards, including five gold, two silver and five merits for its work on behalf of its roster of hospital and healthcare clients: Mount Sinai Medical Center (New York), North Shore/LIJ (Long Island), and Abington Memorial Hospital (Philadelphia).
The agency was also honored as "Best of Show" for a radio campaign produced for Abington Memorial Hospital that addressed the hospital's neurological, cancer and brain centers. Each year, the panel of judges recognizes a select number of entries to be awarded "Best in Show" for their outstanding creativity.
Held under the direction of the Healthcare Marketing Report, the national newspaper of healthcare marketing, the Healthcare Advertising Awards are considered the oldest and largest awards event focusing solely on healthcare advertising. This year, the organization received more than 4,000 entries.
Last week, DeVito/Verdi received 16 awards at the 2011 Aster Awards, which honors creative excellence in healthcare advertising.
In total, the agency won three gold and four merit awards for Abington Memorial Hospital; two gold, one silver and one merit for North Shore/LIJ; and one silver for Mount Sinai Medical Center. The gold awards were in the following categories: Newspaper Single Ad (Abington Memorial Hospital), Outdoor (Abington and North Shore/LIJ), and Radio Series (Abington and North Shore).
