DHS Annual Auction Includes Rare Items
July 26 - 27, Open House and Auction Available to the Public
BEREA, Ohio, July 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DHS Diecast, the world's largest construction and truck diecast scale model dealer today announced they are holding their annual collectible toy auction July 26th. This year the auction includes many very rare and desirable scale models from two internationally known collections.
"This year we have the opportunity to offer quite a few unique and one-of-a-kind items in our auction," said Chuck Sword, President of DHS Diecast. "Every year our auction gets more interesting and this year is the best yet. I have never even seen some of the Hall, Reuhl and Ny-Lint models we have available this year."
Mr. Sword is referring to several items from custom model maker Jerry Hall. Mr. Hall manufactured models from scratch out of wood in very small quantities and in exacting 1:24th scale. These models very seldom make it to auctions and include a Caterpillar DW-21 Tractor w/a Number 470 Scraper, a Caterpillar DW-21 with an Athey PR-21 Wagon Attachment and two other model sets.
Also included are a number of Ny-Lint and new-in-the-box Reuhl Models from the 1950's and earlier. One Ny-Lint LeTourneau Tournarocker Model has never been opened and is in its original packaging. Rounding out the list are three very important Smith-Miller Truck sets including a B-Model Mack Dump Truck which was one of the first models that the company ever made.
