Diamond Hill Financial Trends Fund, Inc. Announces Special Shareholder Meeting

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Diamond Hill Financial Trends Fund, Inc. (NASDAQ: DHFT) announced today that it will hold a special meeting of shareholders on November 14, 2012.  The purpose of the special meeting is to seek the views of the Fund's shareholders, via a non-binding advisory vote, on whether the Fund should continue to operate as a closed-end financial services fund or whether the Board of Directors should consider liquidating the Fund.  Shareholders of record on September 7, 2012 will be entitled to notice of, and vote at, the special meeting.
