The move allows the company's founder, Hatem Zeine, to focus on the development and expansion of Cota, Ossia's flagship game-changing wireless power technology.
Didier Le Lannic has a long and successful history of driving high-tech companies to aggressive growth and commercial success. He was formerly the President and Chairman of Silicon Valley technology startup AEPX Animation where he oversaw the development and marketing of a unique photo compositing solution. He was previously President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Cap Epsilon, a Big Data search and cloud computing company.
"I am thrilled to welcome Didier to the company as he begins leadership of Ossia's team," said Hatem Zeine, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Ossia. "There is tremendous market response to the Cota technology, and Didier's background, track record and experience will be invaluable. He knows how to take technology from concept to commercial reality, which will be repeated again in the coming months as we work with our business partners to integrate our wireless power technology into their products. Didier's decisive leadership, personal style, and deep experience across many B2B businesses uniquely qualifies him to step into this role. He is well-respected across the industry, he inspires employees and he embodies Ossia's core values."
"Cota will change our world, opening doors to new possibilities that are currently hard to imagine," said Didier Le Lannic. "Think of a world where chargers and wires become relics of the past and every Cota-powered device is transformed into a smart device, freeing consumers from tethers and plugs. Ossia's technology is a game changer and uniquely positioned to satisfy the modern lifestyles of modern consumers. It is about creating ecosystems to satisfy the ever growing demand for mobile, wearable solutions and applications, which every market leader has already expressed an interest for. Through this technology, Hatem and his team have created a wonderful opportunity to positively change the world."
Hatem Zeine, Ossia's founder, will continue his role as the Chairman of the Board, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Scientist and will focus on further development of the Cota wireless power product family and data solutions and bringing the next generations of the Cota technology to market.
"It's rewarding to see Ossia move from a mere idea to a commercial reality thanks to Cota's fast adoption across a broad range of markets," said Zeine. "The Cota launch at CES and subsequent increased interest and activities were validation of the vast market opportunity. It required undivided focus at a time when Ossia was transitioning from technology development to partnership, product integration, launch and commercialization for rapid market adoption and expansion. My new priority is to bring the current iteration and next wave of Cota products to the world."
