Digital Capital Management Marks One-Year Anniversary of Bitcoin-Denominated Strategy
SAN DIEGO, Dec. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Capital Management (DCM), manager of Crypto Asset Fund (CAF), one of the first crypto trading funds (launched July of 2017), announced the one-year anniversary of trading in its Bitcoin-denominated (BTC) class, Class B.
The announcement underpins DCM's efforts to increase awareness of the availability of actively-managed, crypto-denominated trading strategies, which may be an attractive alternative to long-only or buy-and-hold fund strategy options offered in the digital asset marketplace.
DCM believes that allocating BTC holdings to be managed by experienced and dedicated fund investment professionals, pursuant to strategies, both long and short, designed to preserve capital and seek profits in both up and down markets, is a superior approach as compared to passive BTC buy-and-hold strategies that do not react to crypto market volatility and short- and long-term market trends.
According to Tim Enneking, DCM's Managing Director, "allocating to an actively-managed digital currency fund also offers investors convenience by eliminating the hassles of maintaining multiple public and private keys, wallets, and exchange accounts, and simplifying otherwise complex tax documentation through a streamlined, annual Schedule K-1."
DCM also offers a fund investment option in an Ethereum-denominated (ETH) class, Class E, which launched in May of this year. Mr. Enneking noted that "Class B and Class E have been attractive options for investors holding large caches of BTC or ETH, such as ICO companies." DCM also offers fund investment strategies denominated in US Dollars, including Class T (a digital currency trading class), Class L (primarily lending on digital currency platforms) and Class I (index-based strategy tracking the Crypto30® Index, www.crypto30.com).
"As November was one of the worst months in crypto history, we believe crypto markets are in the process of bottoming, and the current confluence of market events makes this environment arguably one of the best times to get into digital currency markets, and in particular crypto-denominated investments," said Mr. Enneking.
