DALLAS, June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dimont & Associates, the leading nationwide provider of hazard and mortgage insurance claims processing services, announced today that it has received SSAE 16/SOC 1 Type II Certification, following an independent accounting firm's detailed review of Dimont's processes and controls relating to operations.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), which measures controls and safeguards, replaced SAS 70 with the SSAE 16/SOC 1 in June, 2011 as the authoritative guidance for reporting on service organizations. Dimont has proudly received consecutive certifications since originally applying over 6 years ago. Dimont also received the ISAE 3402 certification, which is the international version of the SOC report.

The SSAE 16 Type II certification attests that Dimont has established control objectives covering the following areas: control environment, risk assessment, monitoring, computer operations, data center operations, access/security, systems development, systems maintenance, and the entire claims process including QA procedures.
