As CIO, Brown will oversee the day-to-day operations of the information technology department while being responsible for strategic planning, data warehouse management and facilitating internal and external partnerships.
Prior to joining Diplomat, Brown served as an executive consultant specializing in the development of technology architectures and organizational solutions, new client acquisition and business development. Additionally, Brown is actively serving as a board adviser for several companies, providing expertise and guidance on operations, information technology, sales and marketing and executive leadership.
Brown's rich career history has included a number of executive leadership roles in the information technology field. He previously served as chief information officer of Omnicare, a healthcare company specializing in providing medications to the elderly community. Prior to Omnicare, he served as CIO for Carlson Companies, a global provider of travel, hospitality and marketing products. Additional CIO positions were held at Micron Electronics and Imation, a spinoff of 3M.
Brown holds a bachelor's degree in business marketing from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the Naval Post Graduate Institute. Brown also enjoyed a decade-long career in the United States Marine Corps, where he specialized in data processing, earning promotions and commendations throughout his tenure.
