Divide partners with immixGroup to deliver complete BYOD solutions to government customers
NEW YORK, March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Divide, maker of the most secure, usable and accessible BYOD container, announced a partnership with immixGroup to help the federal government succeed in deploying Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programs. immixGroup helps technology companies do business with the government. Leveraging immixGroup's expertise with government IT procurement, Divide products will be available for purchase by government agencies on multiple contract vehicles including IT 70 GSA Multiple Award Schedule and NASA SEWP IV.
Divide was created from the ground up to help organizations tap the power of employee-owned devices in a secure, simple and productive way. With its comprehensive security, the Divide container is serving a growing number of government customers, who are looking for a complete BYOD solution.
The Divide platform delivers a robust solution for government agencies that meets their stringent requirements for data security. In addition to FIPS 140-2 validated AES 256 bit encryption technology, Divide has recently added new security features including:
- Divide Keystore - Allows enterprises with in-house Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to control large numbers of Digital Certificates for SSL authentication and S/MIME.
- Divide S/MIME - Enhanced end-to-end email security for Android and iOS uses a public/private certificate/key pair, enabling users to authenticate messages for intended recipients.
According to a survey of federal IT managers by CIO Magazine, 82 percent said they were frustrated by the mobile situation at their agency, citing slow connections, security hassles and inadequate infrastructure as their chief complaints. They expected that always-on access to the enterprise could boost worker productivity by seven hours a week, amounting to an average of $14,000 in projected productivity gains each year.
"Government agencies have an immense opportunity to accelerate the pace at which their employees work using the devices their workers love," said Andrew Toy, CEO of Divide. "With the help of immixGroup and its vast experience providing IT products to government customers, Divide is positioned to solve the BYOD challenge for government customers."
"As many government agencies move away from BlackBerry-only support, we have seen an increased need for secure solutions that are easily deployed," said Chris Wilkinson, Director of Cyber Security Technologies at immixGroup. "Divide's secure container solution enables government customers to fulfill their security requirements, while also respecting the privacy of their employees."
