Dr. Richard Merkin, President and CEO, Heritage Provider Network, Announces Rick Martin, Deputy Director of Plan and Provider Relations at California Department of Managed Care, Joins HPN
MARINA DEL REY, Calif., Feb. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Richard Merkin, President and CEO, Heritage Provider Network, is pleased to announce Rick Martin has joined HPN.
Martin is joining HPN as Vice President, Business Development and Government Relations from the California Department of Managed Care (DMHC) where he most recently has served as Deputy Director of Plan and Provider Relations. Prior to that, Rick served as Deputy Director, Financial Solvency Standards Board, DMHC, where he was instrumental in leading their efforts on the regulations to ban the balance billing of health care consumers and developing regulations to guarantee consumers timely access to health care services.
