Dr. Tina Sampalis Named Chief Scientific Officer of Tersus Life Sciences

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla., Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tina Sampalis, M.D., PhD., has joined Tersus Life Sciences LLC ("Tersus"), as Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Sampalis is an Oncology Surgeon and was trained in the fields of Physiology, Dermatology, and Pediatric General and Oncology Surgery.

Dr. Sampalis has Ph.D.'s in Surgical Research, Epidemiology and Experimental Surgery. Dr. Sampalis is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Medicine and the named inventor of numerous omega-3 phospholipid composition and method patents, has authored numerous studies and peer-reviewed publications worldwide.

Dr. Sampalis has been named among 100 most successful women, globally, by the Princeton Global Network.

Dr. Sampalis joins Tersus Life Sciences following 15 years with Neptune Technologies and Bioresources as Chief Scientific Officer and President of Acasti Pharma.
