SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Salesforce.com Foundation, the global leader in integrating philanthropy and business, today, on National Philanthropy Day, announced unprecedented opportunities for attendees at Dreamforce 2010, the cloud computing event of the year, to give forward to the community through volunteerism. Dreamforce attendees can lend a hand to four separate nonprofits during the conference taking place in San Francisco Dec. 6 – 9, 2010.

The Salesforce.com Foundation's 1/1/1 integrated philanthropy model delivers 1% of employee time in volunteerism, 1% of the company's founding equity in grants, and 1% of the company's product to nonprofits. The Foundation is organizing these activities as part of its vision to help not only nonprofits in achieving in their missions, but also to inspire its community of employees, customers and partners to spread the impact of this philanthropy model.

Spreading the Spirit of Volunteerism at Dreamforce 2010

The Salesforce.com Foundation is inviting the expected 20,000 attendees at Dreamforce 2010 to join in spontaneous volunteerism to benefit nonprofits. The volunteer activities are designed to provide food security, literacy, physical activity, and care kits on a local and an international level. Through these activities, attendees can build relationships beyond traditional conference networking activities.
